Adam
The story of Adam and Eve in the Bible focuses on God’s relationship with humanity. Adam and Eve live in harmony with each other and the world and in communion with God. But, their sin brings original sin and disharmony into the world. They break their relationship with God and are sent from the garden of Eden.

Nevertheless, immediately after the fall, God promises a way for redemption.
Many centuries later a new Adam (Jesus) will go to another garden (Gethsemane) to pray whilst sweating drops of blood, before his death the following day.
Noah

God blesses a faithful Noah and his family and saves them from the flood. He renews his covenant with Noah and sets a rainbow to signify his promise.
The waters prefigure Baptism and the new creation that began with Jesus’ resurrection.
